In the US, the sales tax varies from state to state because it is not managed at the federal level. In addition to the sales tax that taxes place in the majority of the state, there is an additional ‘Pink Tax’ which is targeted at products marketed towards women.
This site will have three different interactive maps of the United States that shows the sales tax percentage in each state, states that have the pink tax, states that have passed legislation to remove the tax as well as identifying the states that have no sales tax at all.
All sales tax information was used from the sales tax institute website.
